I was born in Lansing MI, right in between Detroit and Grand Rapids. My experience at my office taught me how to provide the proper protection for our customers, ranging from auto insurance, homeowner’s insurance, renter’s insurance, life insurance, and financial services. Before opening Al Shattuck State Farm, I worked as a Team Member for State Farm for several years. I attended college at Ferris State University. I am a Marine Corps Veteran and served in Fallujah, Iraq from 2006-2007.

I enjoy spending time outdoors in Mason, MI. In the summer, I take advantage of our lakes and trails with my wife, three daughters and son. I enjoyed growing up in Michigan, I enjoy hunting in my spare time. I still like to keep up with and support our local sports teams. I support our local youth teams including Connect Sports, an organization by my local Church.

My State Farm Insurance agencies are in Owosso, Rockford and DeWitt, MI. We first opened our Owosso doors in December of 2012 followed by DeWitt in 2018 and Rockford in 2022. I feel blessed to be a part of these communities which are such a welcoming community. I am excited for the opportunity to help customers with insurance and financial services to help prepare them for life’s unexpected.
